GODDESS  Dance Class Cont'd:
~Classes vary depending on student & levels~

  • Do not bring males to watch the class as this is a female birth rite, ritual dance and should be respected. No men in class unless they are enrolled in the dance classes

  • You will need a thin silk veil which I suggest you get in white or any other color you can match to an outfit suitable for dance class in the measurements of  3 yards length X 2 yards width, 3.5 yards if you have long arms and are tall Nahari Silk Veils

  • Week 6 is cane dance and I will bring canes for use if you do not have one--non-footed, please. Also, this is a highly aerobic dance and will require a sports bra

  • During Week 7 I will bring in both a scimitar sword and an Indian sword for show and practice, otherwise, you are welcome to use the cane

Finger Cymbals: I suggest you hear the sound each make when selecting the right ones for you. I will also have zils/sagats (finger cymbals) available for purchase when supplies are abundant. Any with slots as holes to fasten the elastic are suitable, do not purchase holed zills (Buddhist or Indian made zils is NOT the same) as dancing/performing finger cymbals. PLEASE do not play while instructor is talking      SoroyanZils.com
