Our Mission

South Florida Belly Dancers began in 1999 and was built on the foundation of educating the general public on the benefits of Middle Eastern dance physically, emotionally and spiritually.

Bethsheba is a disabled veteran of the US Air Force who has overcome most of her ailments due to low impact, cardio belly dance! Its a joy to walk and a blessing to DANCE!

She has been dancing since age 4 with ballet, tap, jazz, and into modern dance in college. She started belly dancing in 1999 in Miami with Tamalyn Dallal and has been entertaining *Bethsheba has been dancing since age 4 with ballet, tap, jazz, and into modern dance in college. Her classes are formulated to focus on technique to minimize risk of injury and shares her knowledge of the roots of this sacred ritual birth-rite dance know as Belly Dance. She has a Bachelors of Art degree in Technical Writing and is currently pursuing her Masters of Art degree in Information Technology Management (2013).

She is a Certified Personal Trainer  through the AFAA and is CPR Certified by the American Heart Association. She adds humor and visual learning aids as she breaks down each movement.  Making her class relaxed and entertaining, she is the most sought after instructor in the area!

You can find her performing at Pegasus Greek Family Restaurant on 2833 Bee Ridge Road where she has been the featured dancer since 2002 by request and reservation-- Saturday night with FREE shows 6-8pm. 

She now entertains at monthly traveling Hafla's seeking to promote our local economy by filling restaurants with patrons of the art of belly dance with family entertainment at its best in Sarasota County!

She has 25 years in the hospitality industry where she owned & operated a non-franchised 350-seat restaurant in Venice at the young age of 19 so she really knows how to throw a party!
